The First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
This is the text of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. This amendment covers so many liberties. In the following posts I will cover each in turn. The main theme of this amendment is that the government has pretty much no say in your private life and needs to keep its nose out of your business.
